Meet Rob Hasty

I am excited to announce my candidacy for Superior Court Judge in Judicial District 14A, encompassing parts of Cumberland County.

Superior Court handles some of the most critical legal matters in our state, from complex civil disputes to serious felonies. It is my strong belief that every party, victim, and witness deserves to have their case heard fairly, free from bias, and to be treated with dignity and respect in the courtroom.

A Commitment to Fairness

My experience practicing law for over twenty-five years, combined with my dedication to upholding the rule of law, has prepared me for the challenges of this position.

Having grown up in Cumberland County and raised my own family here, I care deeply about this community. Serving in this position of trust with fairness and integrity is my commitment. I will be honored to receive your support and vote in this election.

A Career Dedicated to Justice

Private practice, public service, and a deep commitment to the rule of law

Rob spent the first half of his career in private practice as a litigator with one of Fayetteville’s oldest law firms, Anderson, Johnson, Lawrence, Butler, & Bock, where he handled all aspects of litigation, including motions, arbitration, mediation, and trials.

In 2012, Rob transitioned into the public sector, where he currently works as an Assistant County Attorney for Cumberland County, handling in-house litigation, enforcing criminal ordinance violations, and conducting quasi-judicial hearings.

Serving Cumberland County

From the courtroom to the community

Rob holds a B.S. in Political Science from East Carolina University and a J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. He and his wife Yiotta have a daughter, Lia.

Rob is an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville, where he serves as a church officer, and is an active member of the Order of AHEPA.
